Minimum compliance requirements

Minimum age of 18 years old – The minimum age we can consider for a customer is 18 years old (for any applicants under 21 years old please add a guarantor on first submission).

Permanent UK address – We can only consider funding an applicant who resides at a permanent UK address, this address must be registered for Council Tax and be connected to mains utilities.

50% of time in the UK – Please note, that if the customer spends more than 50% of the time out of the UK then we are unable to consider the application.

UK income – The customers income must be verifiable (we may require supporting documents for this).

For any customers who receive their income from Non-UK sources we will need to verify this. Please provide a Payslip or Employment Contract that confirms the customer is paid in Sterling. Alternatively, please provide a copy of the customer’s latest UK tax return declaring their foreign income.

Bank details

Personal, Sole Trader and Business bank accounts

  • Personal / Individual - Please note if the application is proposed in the customers personal name then the bank account on the application must also be the customers personal bank account, we are unable to proceed with a business bank account irrespective of the customers employment.
  • Sole Trader - Sole traders are the only exception to the above. The application must be proposed as a sole trader and the bank details should show as the individuals name followed by T/A and the trading name - e.g. 'John Smith T/A JS plumbing.'
  • Business - Please ensure the account details proposed are correct.

Approval subject to proof of bank details

Please be aware that if the proposal has been approved subject to proof of bank details, then the documents are only required at payout and should not be sent to the underwriting team.
